Carrot balm is the thicker, richer sister of our Carrot tanning oil: the same carrot and walnut base with beta-carotene and a coconut scent, but in a firmer texture with beeswax, for care that stays on the skin longer. Important: the balm contains no sun protection factor, so it is not a replacement for an SPF cream, but care to use alongside it.
What the balm does (and what it doesn't)
Beta-carotene and carotenoids from carrot give the skin a warmer tone and help your tan look more even and last longer. Walnut oil and beeswax form a nourishing layer that locks in moisture, so after the sun the skin feels smooth and soft rather than tight.
The balm does not protect against UV rays. Always get your sun protection from a cream with a sun protection factor.

Storage
Keep tightly closed, away from direct sun and heat. In hot weather the balm softens, and in the shade it firms up again. The best-before date is printed on the packaging.

Does carrot balm protect you from the sun?
No. The balm has no sun protection factor and does not protect against UVA and UVB radiation. Always combine it with an SPF cream: balm first, then SPF.
Will my skin tan faster?
Beta-carotene helps your tan look warmer and more even, and last longer. How fast you tan depends on your skin type and the time you spend in the sun; the balm is no substitute for sensible sun exposure or for sun protection.
What is the difference between carrot balm and carrot oil?
