Comfrey ointment — almost miraculous again
We bought the comfrey ointment again, guided by last year's near-miraculous results — I had used it after hallux surgery and it worked better than expected. This time we decided to use it on my husband's scar from open-heart surgery in the 7th month of this year. The incision on his chest is quite large — over 30 cm — and the sternum was cut and later wired back together. Since it took over 2 months for the wound itself to heal properly, we were convinced the bones would need longer than the 3–6 months the doctors suggested, so we turned to nature for help... and we weren't wrong! We apply the ointment every evening as a compress on the incision site and the change in the scar's color is visible, and the tissue along the incision looks better — healthier. We haven't had an X-ray of the sternum yet, but my husband no longer feels the stabbing pain that used to occur with almost every slightly brisk movement or awkward body position. This has convinced us the sternum is healing faster. Thank you once more for giving us access to natural health! Greetings from Vinkovci!
